I just received a flyer in the mail from this company and I wondered if they were in any way related to AEP and AEP OHIO ? More than likely the answer is yes. If it is how is it legal for AEP Retail to compete with AEP Ohio offering electric at a locked in rate at an 18% savings over AEP Ohio through 2014? Basically to me it seems like AEP set up a "shell company" to retain consumers who would choose First Energy Solutions over AEP Ohio. This also makes it look like AEP Ohio is giving their consumers the shaft while petitioning PUCO for increases for 2012-2014 and then selling the same electric cheaper to other consumers. More and likely it's 100% legal since they set up the company AEP Retail but to me it seems unethical in nature. /end rant.
