Are states who do not require Photo ID in order to vote encouraging fraudulent elections?

Recently, the obama administration's attorney general struck down laws in Texas and South Carolina requiring voters to show a Photo ID before they can vote claiming it "disenfranchises" voters. Now illegals, dead people, and other unauthorized voters will be able to vote freely in elections. In effect, giving people the right to conduct fraudulent elections. Is this fair to legal voters?

According to Pew Research, 2.75 million Americans were registered to vote in more than one state last year. But that does not mean they committed fraud.

Is anyone that is AGAINST voter photo ID gonna answer this - How some precints have not one vote for a candidate (Romney did not get ONE vote in a Cleveland Ohio precint in 2012) ???? Kadaffi couldn't even pull that off!!! There is always one nut ready to die for voting against someone. And how some precints have more voters than are even registered???? (State of Florida had MORE voters than were even REGISTERED in 2012 - a lot of deceased retired people in Fla. I am just sayin) Not even talking about absentee votes and who or how they are counted !!! If the goal is to make sure only legal American citizens are voting then the card is a must. These are the RED FLAGS that are driving voter ID cards. Not racial prejudice...

BobDahler. good afternoon. how many fraudulant votes would it take for you to support any or all of the voter reforms that you are protesting with your comment? i am certain you would not appreciate you legal vote being negated by one of the ten fraudulent votes that you don't seem to mind.

I've never had a problem with having proper ID to be able to vote. One already needs ID to do just about everything in this nation. You drive...need and ID. Open an account....need an ID. Need to get married....need an ID. As long as the govt makes the process to get the ID easy and allows it to be an ID you can use for more than just voting, I'm all for it.

I would be insulted if people on the left told me I am not smart enough to get a picture ID.

You may prevent perhaps 10 fraudulent votes from being cast with your beloved "voter reform" laws, and in the process prohibit perhaps MILLIONS of legitimate votes in the process...

How is this enhancing the "American political experience"?

That is a confusing account of voter activity. I have to sign "in" to vote. there is a record if I vote and if I don't vote.

Mod. How do you know illegals dont cast ballots? Can you prove it? Dead citizens are casting ballots, I dont know why illegals cant !!! Especially in the southern states.!!

moderation...apparently some have. "In last year’s Senate race nearly 5000 illegal aliens cast their vote in the election. The revelation comes from Colorado Secretary of State, Scott Gessler. Testifying before the House Administration Committee, Gessler said his department conducted a study comparing the state’s voter registration database against driver’s license records. After doing so they discovered 12,000 illegal aliens living in the state who were registered to vote. Of these, 5,000 actually cast votes in the last election."

Republican in Massachussetts going to prison for voter fraud, he must have been a 'legal' to run for office, no? There is more than voter id in these state voter regulations, as Paul Weyrich said. "We do not want more people to vote.", ......

Mod, there's very little in today's world that does not require an official photo ID. You need a photo ID to obtain medical care, at least every medical facility I've been treated at requires one.

This BS claim that it's a burden for some to obtain photo ID is just that, BS. Liberals fight it because it's difficult for illegals to cast a ballot if a photo ID is required.

Mod. I agree with Beright. If they cannot figure out how to get a voted ID card, they aren't intelligent enough to figure out how to vote on certain issues. AND. The cases of PROVEN voter fraud is low. I think the cases of suspected voter fraud and INTIMIDATION are very much higher. How some precints have not one vote for a candidate ???? Kadaffi couldn't even pull that off!!! There is always one nut ready to die for voting against someone. And how some precints have more voters than are even registered???? Not even talking about absentee votes and who or how they are counted !!! If the goal is to make sure only legal American citizens are voting then the card is a must.

My thought is that these organizations could be more productive by assisting their less than motivated members in getting the ID’s rather than putting them up as victims.
