Daily breaking news and news the liberal media doesn't want you to know, won't report, or just daily news issues.

Americans for many years have had to rely on left leaning biased news reporting from liberal media such as NBC, ABC, and CBS and the New York Times. As most of these outlets struggle to remain on the air and in print, the new media is flourishing and people are hearing both sides of the issues. This forum will provide people with a place to discuss daily news issues of any kind or discuss articles not printed or aired by the liberal news outlets.

And you tend to scream online, thus proving my point.

Screaming is not needed in rational debate. If you want screaming, I'd suggest hanging out with Tea Partiers, Code Pink people or even the South Korean Legislature.....they all know how to scream. I doubt you would think they are rational people though.

Besides, it's common courtesy not to talk with all caps on.

Greek, do you have to scream. Caps lock off please.

And what you call splitting hairs is what most people call telling the facts. For some reason the irrational Obama haters don't like facts.

I guess we are making great strides. I hope her cake was good since we paid for part of it.

I think there is a problem of whens here.

Who added more people to the food stamp program during their presidency? Currently it would be Bush.

During which presidency has the most people been on food stamps...that would be Obama.

When people are saying more people are on food stamps now than ever before, they are not implying the cumulative aspect of that statement.

" The most recent figures from the Department of Agriculture put the number receiving benefits at 46.1 million as of March 2014. That’s down from the nearly 47.8 million who were getting benefits in December 2012.."

same site: now more people have been added to the food-stamp rolls under Obama than under any single previous president. (April 2013).

“fewer beneficiaries have been added under Obama than were added under George W. Bush”. That seems to be true but shouldn’t the goal be to get people off of gov’t programs not trying to maintain record levels as is happening now?

"The number of food-stamp recipients has retreated from the record high of 2012; fewer beneficiaries have been added under Obama than were added under George W. Bush."

I went to factcheck**** and this is what I found: ?The number of low-income persons on food stamps remains just below the record level reached in 2012, with 15 percent of the population still getting benefits. Despite the improved economy, the number of people receiving food-stamp assistance has continued to grow, and now more people have been added to the food-stamp rolls under Obama than under any single previous president. (April 2013). The January 2014 report on that same site says the number of low-income persons on food stamps remains just below the record level reached in 2012, with 15 percent of the population still getting benefits.

Actually food-stamp recipients have went down since 2012. Also, "fewer beneficiaries have been added under Obama than were added under George W. Bush." (factcheck.o r g)

Is the levels still high? Yes they are but are they are the worst period? Nope.

Kunec,as I don't know you personally,I only have your shared words to attempt to define your positions on any given topic. And my interpretation, from those words, suggests you support black power.

I interoperate your cynicism, mod but, as I don't know you, I can't tell whether it's intended for me or the masses that don't associate cause with effect.

It would seem the gasoline/lead association legislation was a bit late, kunec.

BTW - Do you all know that we can thank our 'environmentalist friends' for the deaths of the seven astronauts aboard SS Columbia? You see, some of them b-itched about the chemical production of the foam insulation covering the external fuel tank. The manufacturer of that foam insulation altered it's chemical formulation and a piece of the new 'recipe' separated and struck Columbia upon liftoff. THAT type of unnecessary crap is also what will get by shutting down our coal-fired power plants to appease IDIOTS.

BeRight - AMEN, Brother! They want to drive the cost of electricity higher to substantiate their designs to shove solar/wind generated power down our throats. EVERYTHING will go up in price because of the turning-away from coal-fired power plants. It's been a H-ell of a ride America, but it's just about to come to an end. THANKS, OBAMA

This should help all those on fixed incomes in the USA:

Electricity prices are probably on their way up across much of the U.S. as coal-fired plants, the dominant source of cheap power, shut down in response to environmental regulations and economic forces.

The Energy Department predicts retail power prices will rise 4 percent on average this year, the biggest jump since 2008. By 2020, prices are expected to climb an additional 13 percent, a forecast that does not include the costs of coming environmental rules.

WOW! NEVER SAW THAT ONE COMING! lol
