Daily breaking news and news the liberal media doesn't want you to know, won't report, or just daily news issues.

Americans for many years have had to rely on left leaning biased news reporting from liberal media such as NBC, ABC, and CBS and the New York Times. As most of these outlets struggle to remain on the air and in print, the new media is flourishing and people are hearing both sides of the issues. This forum will provide people with a place to discuss daily news issues of any kind or discuss articles not printed or aired by the liberal news outlets.

I am leery of our digital age. It offers us up some great advantages over that of our ancestors. But I worry that a modern day equivalent of the burning of the Library of Alexandria could happen. Imagine if suddenly the power simply went off and never came back on. We would lose so much of our knowledge.

That which others find of importance should be respected to a certain degree. Personally I don't care about the flag beyond it being a symbol for others. When it comes to history and knowledge, I do care more about that. If it came down to letting someone burn a flag or the Koran, I would let them burn the flag first. I just don't have much respect for blind nationalism.

good evening Kendall78, i don't think there would have been anything wrong with burning the korans in either place. he was considerate enough to bring his own grill. most parks in the south offer grilling options for those that "live to grill". in addition, it is obvious that his intended action was for publicity and to make a statement. however it does seems curious how all of the television and newspaper cameras just happened to be around when our flag and or other printed material is consumed by the fire of others brand of free speech. frankly, there are some publications that deserve to be burned, but i will agree that our emotional attachment to the printed page and its illustrations will have a place in our memories and hearts until future generations fully realize the potential of the digital age. its encouraging to note that you apparently do not have a problem with the message. rather brave of you.

"A Florida pastor was arrested Wednesday as he drove a pickup truck towing a large barbecue-style grill filled with kerosene-soaked Korans to a park.."

The focus should be, "to a park". If he wasn't doing this for publicity then what was wrong with doing it on private land?

Personally, burning books is just plain dumb.

Charles Krauthammer commentary: The president of the United States takes to the airwaves to urgently persuade the nation to pause before doing something it has no desire to do in the first place. That “strike Syria, maybe” speech culminates with the argument that the proper response — the most effective way to uphold fundamental norms, indeed human decency — is a flea bite: something “limited,” “targeted” or, as so memorably described by Secretary of State John Kerry, “unbelievably small.”

"A Florida pastor was arrested Wednesday as he drove a pickup truck towing a large barbecue-style grill filled with kerosene-soaked Korans to a park, where the pastor had said he was planning to burn 2,998 of the Muslim holy books — one for every victim of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks." our freedom to protest ends where the koran begins. the reports did not say what happened to the kerosene-soaked korans. surely after posting any bail or reciept of tickets he had the right to "flame-on". hmmm i have a feeling he was persuaded to not exercise his right as he was persuaded in the past. i do find it odd that those that burn our nations flag are heralded as examples of our freedom when in actuality they selectively desecrate, with protection, what many in our nation have died and fought for. as evidenced by the daily attacks against our troops, allies and consulates in the middle-east, you would think the politically-correct would get the fact that the muslim

After years of setbacks, Democratic lawmakers and Latino activists are on the verge of seeing immigrants who are in the country illegally granted the right to a driver's license in California. The state Assembly approved the bill on a 55-19 vote late Thursday, hours after the Senate also voted to pass it. Gov. Jerry Brown issued a statement indicating he would sign it into law.

The federal government has access to a massive database of 25 years of AT&T phone data, NBC News has confirmed, as part of a secret program in which phone company employees work alongside local and federal law enforcement agents to track the phone calls of suspected drug dealers.

As first reported by the New York Times, the Hemisphere Project is at least six years old and has access to the data from every call coming through an AT&T switchboard back to 1987. The pool grows by billions of calls a day, includes information on the location of callers, and is larger than the controversial database maintained by the NSA, which goes back five years.

Point is if you are for increased wages and benefits for fast food workers or for folks working at Wal-Mart, than you will have to accept the trade off of paying higher prices for their goods and services. Some will argue that the Waltons make too much money as do the franchise owners of McDonalds. But in the short term, if you want the wage and benefits to rise for workers in these industries, the customers will pay. I am not passing judgment but passing on business practices as it is today. Just like businesses making full time workers part time to dodge Obamacare, if you were a small business owner supporting your family reducing costs raises your income. Business owners are not charities.
