Daily breaking news and news the liberal media doesn't want you to know, won't report, or just daily news issues.

Americans for many years have had to rely on left leaning biased news reporting from liberal media such as NBC, ABC, and CBS and the New York Times. As most of these outlets struggle to remain on the air and in print, the new media is flourishing and people are hearing both sides of the issues. This forum will provide people with a place to discuss daily news issues of any kind or discuss articles not printed or aired by the liberal news outlets.

Civil unions would have mattered not. As I said it was a forgone conclusion. The marketing and lobbying started many years before. Recall that once the idea was accepted and enforced at the federal level, the states would have eventually had to follow suit irrespective of the decision. Imo...it was all about legitimacy and affirmation.......as long as man's law allows it..all conscience ojection remains just that.

We made a huge mistake when we wouldn't allow "civil unions."

I agree, but repubs wanted no part of that so here we are...just like everything under this presidency repubs have wanted no part of it from the moment he was sworn in...

We made a huge mistake when we wouldn't allow "civil unions." If we had allowed civil unions that granted the same legal rights as married couples, they couldn't claim the law denied them equal rights.

Then marriage wouldn't have been redefined under the law.

Of course, the best solution would have been to grant everybody, whether married or single, the same rights.

What a mess.

“It was a forgone conclusion that the justices would have to rule in favor.”

I believe that, but it’s a terrible thing.

We should never have had this fight, and we never would have if the government didn’t stick its big nose into peoples’ marriages. If the government had never decided to grant preferential treatment to married people, this would have never been an issue.

Now same-sex couples are favored over single heterosexuals.

Sad.

reported on Fox News: "SUPREME COURT SAYS same-sex couples can marry in all 50 states: In a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that people have Constitutional right to enter into same-sex marriages, as President Obama calls the decision a 'victory for America."....please oh please let OWO be correct about "faux news". well he isn't. it was a forgone conclusion that the justices would have to rule in favor...although split.
