Daily breaking news and news the liberal media doesn't want you to know, won't report, or just daily news issues.

Americans for many years have had to rely on left leaning biased news reporting from liberal media such as NBC, ABC, and CBS and the New York Times. As most of these outlets struggle to remain on the air and in print, the new media is flourishing and people are hearing both sides of the issues. This forum will provide people with a place to discuss daily news issues of any kind or discuss articles not printed or aired by the liberal news outlets.

asknot - The issuance of warrants, of course, involves the willingness of judiciary members of our government. The responsible naming of said members to the judiciary (who will issue ONLY constitutionally valid warrants) SHOULD BE performed, with well-reasoned debate, by the members of congress (and strictly adhere to the accepted prescripts of accepted practices).

The purpose of the Senatorial Democratic majority to adopt the Nuclear Option, in naming judges to the Federal bench, is likely to dilute your "rights to privacy" far more than anything we've experienced. IF Obama gets to name a couple of more SCOTUS justices, Katie bar the door!

Kendall78, i am much less concerned with their answer in a debate as i would be with their actions once in office.

Please don't get me wrong...I don't want Big Brother without restraint. But then again, we end up with what we put in.

If the govt signs off one day to spy without restraint on its citizens...then the problem in part lies with those that vote them in.

I would love to see a primary where one of the questions would involve asking the candidates about their views on drones and following cell phone use.

I couldn't resist the Obamacare joke. :)

Also from the article yet not mentioned, "The Device reportedly cannot record or intercept the content of a phone call so it does not act like a wiretap."

Obamacare?

@thegreek- trust has nothing to do with it but common sense. There are over 100,000,000 households in the US. The govt will never end up monitoring them all or even a fraction of them.

And if drones are spotted illegally observing homes, their will be lawsuits and their will be dire results.

Lastly, at 500 feet....who cares what they could see. If they have nothing better to do than pay a "pilot" to be above my home...then we have some major issues with finances that the govt needs to address.

thegreek - If Hitler had the technological monitoring systems and devices along with all of the German peoples health history on a database that he controlled, he would have died of a terminal 'woodie'.

Kendall tell me you honestly believe that after the NSA spying scandal, the IRS "get even" scandaland all the other stuff.??? You actually trust the gov not to be looking when they are conveniently 500 feet hovering over your head... Live the dream buddy, live the dream....

@R1KRA8- like everything else owned by the various govt agencies, it better have some identifying marks.

After all, would you allow some guy who says he is a cop just wander around your property without no official uniform or ID being presented?

Same with a drone. If some flying machine is buzzing my property without any identification on it, it may not survive.

@ask- if you are able to see it's a drone and there are no identifying marks on it to explain why it's in your immediate airspace...I have a feeling there will be many downed drones.

Part of my comment was aimed somewhat at the freak out people have over drones. The drones are not going to be hovering in your back yard looking at you. The odds are you'll never see one and if you do, it won't be doing anything involving you.

Or a flyswatter for the tiny ones (disguised as flying insects) that will have monitoring devices incorporated into them and fly into your home through an open door or window.

The government has plans for more to enter your home (uninvited) than just Santa Claus.

We already have satellites, planes and helicopters in the skies that are regulated by the govt...what is the main fear about drones?

If you ever actually see one of the buggers and it's too close to your home...get your 2nd Amendement regulated gun and take care of the problem.

"The Federal Aviation Administration announced six states on Monday that will develop test sites for drones, a critical next step for the march of the unmanned aircraft into U.S. skies. Alaska, Nevada, New York, North Dakota, Texas and Virginia will host the research sites, the agency said." finally an answer for that droning sound you have been hearing.
