If there was ever a doubt that Mitt Romney subscribes to the early-20th century philosophy of "Social Darwinism", these doubts should be dispelled by what he said during his visit to Isreal, following his gaffe-strewn visit to London earlier in the week ... Romney said that Israel is an "economic success", and Palestinians are NOT, because of "certain cultural factors" ... To paraphrase what he REALLY said - "Persons of Hebrew extraction are good with money, but Palestinians are too primitive and tribal to succeed in the marketplace!" ... This old belief - that "cultural" or "racial" backgrounds determine ability - went out with Rudyard Kipling's "White Man's Burden" ...
