In order to do their job well they must be equipped with the knowledge to negotiate for the body of the union ! I don't know about the Know Nothing Expert but I prefer to have a person working on my behalf that is respected and knows what their doing ! I suppose wrongriki would like to have the janitor negotiate for it ! When compared to the pay of CEO's of even small companies the officals are underpaid !
