What happened to the "Union Influence in Politics" topic?

Even though I initiated it as the debut topic in the Times forums, I'm happy to realize it has been deleted. It died an ugly death long ago, and should have been executed long before it was. I'm curious though... Why? I am unaware of the travesty that occurred that was sufficiently heinous to warrant it's deletion... As compared to the tripe on ALL the other threads that is evident on a daily basis.

caspi- I wasn't referring to your comment. But you did take the provided page and make your own investigation,no? And I do understand that the location changes in both days and page as contributions are added, but would you have had any idea where to find that info without that day and page tip ? I remembered the info, but I wasn't at all inclined to search it out. But if one stores such info, it can be easily referenced, but why might one have a particular interest in such trivia, ready at hand?

moderation, Archived to the exact page? No, that would be difficult because the page numbers change every time a new page is added. However since this is a forum and not a chat room, conversations can draw out over several days so I do quite often read back over the pages that are very old.

Caspi- do have anything archived,....anything that goes 8 or 9 months (or any span of time)back into any of these threads, anything that references personal information shared by posters, such as vocations and just anything?Archived to exact pages....?

moderation, I don't get the "Big Brother" reference, at the risk of seeming naive would you please explain?

It is only a matter of time until the UAW flows into those southern auto assembly plants. And VW actually prefers a worker represented arrangement. It will be interesting.

Yes,caspi, he was. Meet "Big Brother".I remembered that information, and chose not to share it,but I didn't retrieve it from a dossier. Who always cries wolf?

BobDahler I believe R1KRA8 might be referring to the posts where Tiredofit and myself name the unions we were in, IAM for tired and UBC for me.

R1KRA8: I've looked into your references, and honestly, I havent a clue as to what you are talking about. Could you clarify?

Seems like a legitimate question to me.

Tiredofit: What then, causes you to have such a dismal outlook towards unions now?

Posted 529 days ago.

Caspiansynn

Its hard to believe that in 2014 workers would turn down the opportunity to have a group of people forcibly take part of their paycheck to support candidates and causes that they may or may not support, and all the while telling them what they can drive, where they may live or shop and even who they are allowed to marry.

Congratulations Chattanooga Tennessee auto workers! Its nice to see that common sense and liberty has won out over corruption and legalized extortion.

RIKRA8: You said: "Ohio Union Officers & Staff Take Millions from Workers"

SO?

I say: For the purpose of furthering those workers' agendas...

Your point is what?

BobDahler

OK,R1KRA8: I will try to refer to your moniker in the future as you please.

BobBarker: Though I tend to agree with your positions concerning unionism, trading barbs with Rik is a no win proposition.

It could (will) go on forever...
