What happened to the "Union Influence in Politics" topic?

Even though I initiated it as the debut topic in the Times forums, I'm happy to realize it has been deleted. It died an ugly death long ago, and should have been executed long before it was. I'm curious though... Why? I am unaware of the travesty that occurred that was sufficiently heinous to warrant it's deletion... As compared to the tripe on ALL the other threads that is evident on a daily basis.

Workplace freedom is currently in the process of organizing a PAID signature program, One of its representatives blatently lied in a press conference about Ohio`s unemployment level being higher than right-to-work states. Lie, deny, deflect, standard op for Ohioans for workplace freedom, so see freedom is not pertinent to the issue, if you have to lie about it.

Union brothers and sisters, usually, but not always, will gladly pay union dues, that train apprentices, help union retirees, fund health premiums, improve working conditions, fund strike benefits, fund programs for needy citizens, as to the alternative of wearing a paper hat and asking, "Do you want fries with that?" RTW is bad for business, righttowork is wrong for everyone. But go ahead back those who will never have your best interest, remember what Lincoln said about labor. Remember what Tesla did when he found out a contract he signed put people out of work. Freedom, is just a word, its how its implemented, thats important.

With the Koch brothers wanting to acquire newspapers, who does not think they will use this as a way to further push for RTW laws, in their attempt to lower wages, give workers fewer options to have livable wage jobs, and using govt. Subsidies to keep payroll and other costs down, at the expense of taxpayers. RTW is wrong and gives very few power over so many. No choice,no voice, that is the goal of RTW and its backers.

So are union laborers, noble or ignoble....of course paying employees starvation wages, knowing the govt. policies will subsidise those living within a certain percentage of poverty level, is not so noble either. right to screw the workforce is wrong.

Two of the indicted educators accused in the Atlanta Public School cheating scandal have turned themselves in to the Fulton County Jail early Tuesday morning. The 35 educators, including former superintendent Beverly Hall, must surrender on Tuesday. They all face charges of racketeering, theft by taking, influencing witnesses and making false statements. A grand jury hearing the APS case suggested a $7.5 million bond for Hall. If convicted, she faces up to 45 years in prison.
