What happened to the "Union Influence in Politics" topic?

Even though I initiated it as the debut topic in the Times forums, I'm happy to realize it has been deleted. It died an ugly death long ago, and should have been executed long before it was. I'm curious though... Why? I am unaware of the travesty that occurred that was sufficiently heinous to warrant it's deletion... As compared to the tripe on ALL the other threads that is evident on a daily basis.

Beright public unions should be banned for many reasons, some you explain clearly.

You gotta just luv those that couldnt hold a professional job like teaching! When they had their chance to advance their education they didn't , and now they begrudge those who are earning good living !The axiom holds true , good people don't come cheap ! And just in case you don't know it , unions do contribute to both sides but I don't know why ! Republiduds have always been against unions and have done everything they could to ban them so why should unions support them ?

Public Unions are paid with Tax Dollars. Those unions take those tax dollars and contribute to Candidates who are most likely (Dems) to agree to budget busting union demands. The Candidates agreeing to those crazy contracts leave office and the taxpayers are left with legacy obligations that cannot be paid with current tax payments so taxes go up or you have Detroit.

Dear friend OWO.. i must caution you to choose your words more carefully and for goodness sake don't post them twice. Your post hints of anarchy and I don't think the DHS thinks too highly of the notion. The President stated that we are a nation of laws. Is he correct or mistaken?

Oh , those who control the law and police are automatically right ? Sometimes in order to even the playing field things must be done outside the box ! History is written by the winners !

OWO...the subject we are discussing is not that difficult to understand and would not require one to be a life-long indoctrinated domestic terrorist to understand. if we indeed are going to devolve and allow ourselves to dismiss the rule of law then why not break out the hoods, robes, torches and crosses? you are no better than those that you and others have railed against. one thing to note.... be sure to cut the eye holes out correctly...would not want you terrorizing your own folks. yah here.

You see absolem that was spoken like a true republican who has never been in a union ! Sometimes life isn't all sweet peas and honey ! In order to stand up for something you have to get rough, not play by the rules that are so very manipulated against you ! If you don't, you get rolled over and lose everything you have fought for ! No , I don't like what they chose to do but I understand it !If you truly want to get agrip on that then I suggest you watch the Film "Matewan" ! Just might open your eyes !

absolem- I responded to your assertion,... ....and union supporters are true low-lifes. wear it proudly. I only proposed another view of your assertion.

Stillhere...brain rot..possibly but sometimes a little brain decadence helps one to better understand those around us.

Moderation..sometimes it is best to just let your own words or actions speak for themselves. i know what i asked and i as well as others know how you answered. as i stated anonymity has its benefits. no one really knows who you or OWO are in real life to know that you won't speak out against your union associated domestic terrorism. support can come in the form of silence. people remind me of the title of a Jane's Addiction album title..."NOTHING SHOCKING".

Is I wrong to oppose public sector unions on principle?
