What happened to the "Union Influence in Politics" topic?

Even though I initiated it as the debut topic in the Times forums, I'm happy to realize it has been deleted. It died an ugly death long ago, and should have been executed long before it was. I'm curious though... Why? I am unaware of the travesty that occurred that was sufficiently heinous to warrant it's deletion... As compared to the tripe on ALL the other threads that is evident on a daily basis.

When i was an IAM member i saw first hand how the union was a tool for the democratic party even though the rank and file was not so inclined. Glad i got a better job and was able to leave that behind me, now my political donations are under MY control! Thats the American way

Instead they attempt, failing of course, to discredit the messenger. Sad indeed

Isnt it telling that any mention of freedom of thought is met with such hostility? Lol speaking of serving your master lol. Notice they never address the reason why union workers shouldnt have control over thier dues being spent politically, why? Because they dont want to admit the truth, dissent is not allowed

OWO...which candidate(s) do you see the unions really getting behind? do you think they would cross lines and hedge their bets?

Stillhere...what about a combo of Walker and Kasich? yes...OWO...i realize they are two "white" guys...but when we put up potential candidates of color they get called "uncle toms " and are roundly dismissed by the democrats and their own race. so with that said, i don't much care about fads or whims but the issues and fair representation. btw....i still like my boy Trump...but he needs to get his "game" together....unless he does and this is part of it. time will reveal all as long as we are alive to experience future happenings.

You see, freedom of thought= traitor to the socialist left. One must walk lock step with the Union masters while funding policies that harm them. Take the UMW as a case in point, why would any Union Miner wish to give Obama money? Well of course they see how his policies have destroyed their way of life, but to speak out means your a "traitor" lol

Nah, the only ones we hear screaming are the anti-union shop stewards and there are darn few of those traitors !

Stillhere

Of course we will hear screaming from the socialist lefties,, they dont want to compete on the idea battlefield. Rather they wish to rig they system to deny those that disagee, a voice

So if the Union member is a die hard socialist, they can freely give to support Sanders etc. BUT if they are conservative and believe in the Constitution, they don't have to support a candidate. AHHHH now that is progress

Republican lawmakers are taking aim at organized labor by re-introducing legislation this week to strictly limit union power to force dues from workers who oppose the union's political agendas

Washington examiner.

Thats a great start!!!!!!

I agree with you and Moderation in both of your assessments of the fox. One day I heard what I thought was a cry from the woods only to discover a fox calling for something.

If they are above average perps, absolem.

absolem

moderation...very poetic description of an escaping fox. to "move like flowing water", what a relaxing and soothing image. so do you think many of the perps caught on camera fleeing crime scenes do so "moving like flowing water"?
