What happened to the "Union Influence in Politics" topic?

Even though I initiated it as the debut topic in the Times forums, I'm happy to realize it has been deleted. It died an ugly death long ago, and should have been executed long before it was. I'm curious though... Why? I am unaware of the travesty that occurred that was sufficiently heinous to warrant it's deletion... As compared to the tripe on ALL the other threads that is evident on a daily basis.

To be so anti -freedom and anti-living wage is just nutty !For the life of me I cant fathom how the righties here can harbor such hate against a organization that has benefited almost all working americans ! Through the efforts of unions there are things like child labor laws, 40 hr work week, insurance, sick pay, increased safety, vacations , and the list goes on and on ! Why cant these weak-minded brain-washed "people" understand that without union struggles we would all still be working 80hr weeks ,6 days a week for nearly nothing ! Thats not democracy thats slavery !

( we are ohio . co m )Different but the same idiocy so we will remind the vast majority that thumped SB5 that this is just the republicans again trying to screw labor ! ( we are ohio . co m )

“Workplace freedom is completely different from Senate Bill 5, though We Are Ohio is desperate to associate the two in Ohioans’ minds after spending $40 million to defeat Senate Bill 5. Senate Bill 5 included hundreds of pages of reforms to public union law, whereas the Ohio Workplace Freedom Amendment is a straightforward proposal that fits easily on two pages.”

As far as I know our government does not fund unions !The amendment to this section by 129th General AssemblyFile No.10,SB 5, §1 was rejected by voters in the November, 2011 election.

For "people" like wrongriki , who cant accept the facts that prove them wrong , its a sad state of affairs that even after being debunked they keep up this constant barrage of ignorant right-wing crappola !Wrongriki and others like it are all that's wrong with these forums !How does it feel wrongriki to whine about your "freerider" bullsh&t all the the while collecting welfare ( A free ride ) ! Typical republican !

Munster

Speaking of legitimacy , wrongriki is a welfare addicted non working putz that thinks its an expert on workers rights ! Would'nt you think that to be an expert on work you'd have to at least have a job ?? Still using lies and half-truths in the typical republican way ! Seems funny that if this was a good thing for labor they would be supporting it but they aren't are they ??We are ohio. co m

Wrongriki, being the fool that it is, cant seem to understand English ! Most unions are in this fight and the host state or country of these unions will be donating money towards defeating these unfair actions by the republicans ! Unlike the republican super PAC's where no one knows where the money comes from , the unions are funded by people just like you and I !

If your lie about "big labor" was true, why do unions only amount to 13% of the work force ??

Posted 21 days ago.

Munster

No , on lie no#3 I don't agree at all ! I know of no union member who doesn't want union representation !Look , your lies and halftruths are exposed for what they are ! Just a republican tactic to cut funding to unions ! Maybe they should have tried to do the right thing and help workers but they didn't and this is why unions don't support republicans !

One of Big Labor’s Special Privilege . . .

Privilege #3: Power to force employees to accept unwanted union representation.

And just who funds "ohioans for free money for the rich" or whatever ??? We don't know because its funded by republican super PAC's !95% of that comes from out of state !And just why would anybody care about what a non-working leach on society has to say on unions ? It has no experience and the only info it gets is from right-wing garbage factories !Question: “So please explain what this is really all about?”

Answer: Visit the “We are ohio ” website.***** And just why would anybody care about what a non-working leach on society has to say on unions ? It has no experience and the only info it gets is from right-wing garbage factories !
