What happened to the "Union Influence in Politics" topic?

Even though I initiated it as the debut topic in the Times forums, I'm happy to realize it has been deleted. It died an ugly death long ago, and should have been executed long before it was. I'm curious though... Why? I am unaware of the travesty that occurred that was sufficiently heinous to warrant it's deletion... As compared to the tripe on ALL the other threads that is evident on a daily basis.

Why does a right-wing republican repeater feel the need to abase unions and their members when unions have done so very much for all labor ? Wouldn't be so bad except for your total ignorance of unions and their affairs !

Posted 21 days ago.

So you still do not think those union fat cats will use their self-serving LIES to get the workers to vote against the workers own interests, for goodness sake . . . well, we are talking to scrappile who disclosed this tidbit of truth . . . HERE . . . “Hello my name is scrappile and I am a cyber bullying troll. . .”

Speaking of legitimacy , wrongriki is a welfare addicted non working putz that thinks its an expert on workers rights ! Would'nt you think that to be an expert on work you'd have to at least have a job ?? Still using lies and half-truths in the typical republican way ! Seems funny that if this was a good thing for labor they would be supporting it but they aren't are they ??We are ohio. co m

Bin-Laden was a 'freedom' fighter and the darling of the U.S. backed insurgency against the Soviet invasion, still do not think some will use the word freedom to get people to vote against their own interests, for goodness sake let 2 brain cells at least casually meet once in a while.

“Senate Bill 5 was about collective bargaining and putting sort of guardrails around collective bargaining,” Rep. Roegner said. “This is quite the opposite of that. This is saying, ‘workers, you have the freedom to join a union, to pay to be represented by them, or not,’ so to me this is quite the opposite issue.”

“This is all about freedom, individual freedom to choose – you know, that resonates with people, it really does, and poll after poll shows that,” Roegner responded to another question."

To be so anti -freedom and anti-living wage is just nutty !For the life of me I cant fathom how the righties here can harbor such hate against a organization that has benefited almost all working americans ! Through the efforts of unions there are things like child labor laws, 40 hr work week, insurance, sick pay, increased safety, vacations , and the list goes on and on ! Why cant these weak-minded brain-washed "people" understand that without union struggles we would all still be working 80hr weeks ,6 days a week for nearly nothing ! Thats not democracy thats slavery !

After all this bullsh#t about CHOICE ( which I've proven they already have )wrongriki fully admits that the republicans aim has nothing to do with helping Joe lunchbox and all to do with limiting union donations to candidates of their CHOICE !!We are Ohio .co m !!

We are Ohio is where the Union Bosses LIE about the Ohio Workplace Freedom Amendment and other Right To Work laws . . .

"Unions sole revenue stream depends on forcing workers to pay compolsory union dues – less members, less dues; less dues, less revenue for Union Fats Cats”

The long-time retired dues exempt Munster finally admits what this is all about . . .The Union Fat Cats’ war on the workers’ freedom to choose whether to participate in a labor organization as a condition of employment.

After all his name-calling, insults, and wild claims (which he has proven he is still extremely worried) Munster fully admits that the Union Fat Cats aim has nothing to do with helping Today’s Workers and all to do with keeping the big flow of union donations to candidates of the Union Fat Cats’ CHOICE and feathering their own nests.
