Racism and the 2012 election

Explain how one group can be racist for voting around 60% against a man of a different racial background but another group that votes 90% against a person of a different racial background isn't racist?

moderation, i trust you and everyone have endured the latest round of snow to hit your area. it looked pretty from the wtap webcam. i have yet to fully look into your claim about the rights voting procedure changes, so for that reason i won't be able to discuss it with you at this moment.

munster, are you prejudiced against his white heritage? you must be cause you never seem to fit that into your description of his race in your republican stereotype. give the man at least a whole credit instead of half. you most certainly must be paid to post all of the crud you clog this site with.

When the parties are trying to cut spending and balance the budget, I find it amusing that every special interest always quotes some statistic saying well this or that program is only “2%” or the budget or 3% of the budget or 1/1000% of the Fed’s budget. If we cut funding for Big Bird, you can keep every control tower in the USA fully staffed. So do you want to keep Big Bird or Air Traffic Control and airline safety?

Scrappile. Probably Ron Paul fits that description. I concede to that. But he never can get enough to win because he doesnt go with the flow and supports the constitution vehemently. I like him and Rand.

thank you for your opinion greek, but show me any of the 7 major party candidates promoted since 1996 that were America first, not global economist, main street not wall street, real citizens before "corporate" citizens, and I`ll vote for them, tell you something, I`ll believe corporations are citizens as soon as the state of Texas executes one.

Are there people who know how to play the system, you bet, but food stamps, disability, TANF, are 2%, of the federal budget, and here is a kick to the head for every dollar D.C., and state capitols spend on those programs, they spend 2 dollars on corporate welfare programs. Who gets all the freebies?

lts- I hope your Sunday was fulfilling. Mine has been filled with much, the least of which has been the beginning of winter storm Virgil. But, I wanted to make a point about how the right attempted to change the voting procedures, abruptly, in several states, and how the higher courts struck down those attempts. Where is the movement, now, to establish healthy voter eligability procedures? You know that movement was nothing less than an attempt to strongarm the left, and in the process, much was revealed about what integrity means to the voting masses.

attacked. however, having better safegards in place to protect the same is a great idea and one that should be supported. if the right to vote is priceless then why is it such a hardship to get an i.d. when many do not hesitate to travel for miles in all types of weather to get free stuff, money, healthcare and food amongst other things. the too much trouble argument is rather lame while enjoying one's taxpayer supported benefits and freebies. i will address your school comment later. have a great evening!

scrappile, it seems that for some admitting to the blatant reverse racism is something ingrained in them as being taboo. your belief that they were somehow not informed about the man who is obama is a rather degrading dodge on your part. if anything with the 24/7 information, pro and con, about obama being broadcast by all media and the circles of society, there is simply no way to say that a vote based solely on his race was not racist. racism like preference can be applied to any choice we make in life from political candidate to whom we spend the rest of our lives with. many times personal preference is pushed aside for the sake of popular opinion. to answer your question, yes, i do blame blacks for voting as they did......they based their vote as you have pointed out in a misinformed way. many chose race over informed choice. a novelty, if you will, which i think degrades the public office as well as the american people. voting rights of the legally qualified to vote are not being

Scrappile. I hope you feel better knowing that a 3rd party person that has a snowballs chance in surviving a desest got your vote. As far as I am concerned you have no room to complain - but , rest assured, you got your point across by wasting your vote !!! Sarcasm intended.

Romney was an honest FAMILY LOVING man that didn't care to LIE to be president or waste everyones donated money because he doesnt believe in people getting money by holding their hands out for it. He believes in pepole WORKING for their money and was honest in saying 47 percent wont vote themselves out of laying around collecting money and into a JOB !! He wouldn't now be ignoring the USA now like the heros. He loves this country to stand aside and ley it go unprotected and in such dissarray as the MEDIA sold the population a BILL OF GOODS with this bunch!!There are more people out there that are flabberghasted about this travesty than people think !!

What school systems in large cities are being shut down, the suburb districts, the charter, private religious schools, no the public schools where those with a higher poverty level live, and who at least empathizes with those people, noy Romney who says " graduated college, cant find a job, borrow money from your parents", when the candidate describes a public park as an open space, he really is too insulated from the public.

I would consider those that voted for Obama, because they or he was black, to be somewhat misinformed, he still carries on with targeted assassinations, no real crooks from the financial "synthetic" credit swap world have been prosecuted. My take on the last election was do you vote for a man who has received the most Wall Street money ever, or do you vote for the man who is Wall Street, a lose, lose proposition in the way I look at. Thats why a third party candidate got my vote, just like they have since 1996. Racism is a fact of life, but could you really blame all blacks for voting the way they do. Voting rights act has only been around two generations, and is under attack.

scrappile, would you support the notion that those that voted "for" president obama simply due to his race would be considered racists? the outcry of gleee at the mere notion within the liberal and african-american circles would indictae it to be so. i would venture to suggest that herman cain while not having pure and unclean hands in the "ladies" department would have not garnered a few votes due to his skin color. as much as we try to sterilize and eradicate free thoughts and emotions in society....there are always going to be those that make their choices on grounds that may or may not be agreeable with the thinking fad of society at the time. to turn a blind eye to the truth is the same as overlooks the fact that we still live on a savage and brutal planet.

Would these numbers have changed that much if Herman Cain were the nominee, I highly doubt it.

Explain how one group can be racist for voting around 60% against a man of a different racial background but another group that votes 90% against a person of a different racial background isn't racist? Because on is in the top 1% of earners and says he wants a stronger middle class, while the other is in the top .0001%, and tries to blame 47% of the nations earners for 100% of the nations problems...
