Also guns helped the freed slaves fight off the democrats that wanted to re enslave them. That is why the NRA was formed in the first place. Look it up. Now here you democrats are wanting to take thos rights away because of some dang evil crooks.... Find some other way of dealing with the evil crooks. Guns and everyones rights are off limits period..

Here is THE deal with guns. Guns are THE weapon that freed the country from the British, conquered many territories (West), helped American warriors and patriots win many hard fought wars. They are the symbol of freedom in this country and have staved off many foreign attacks (gun behind every blade of grass comment). Anyone that wants to take over or destroy this country KNOWS that guns have to be removed first... They are ONE LEG of a 3 legged stool. It seems to oversimplify it but if only one leg could be removed, the entire stool would fall. This is a known fact. You liberals should not be damming guns but should be thankful that patriots have taken them up in use against tyrants or you would not be celebrating the liberties (such as free speech) that you enjoy today. Gun crime is down... Hard pill for you to swallow but the truth is for you liberals.

NRA Members would be called on to donate to new funds that would finance the NRA-related activities, and possibly, to directly assist schools in implementing the program. Also, many new opportunities would be available for trained School Resource Officers in your local community.

That was proposal. But we will never know since Biden and your traitors kicked it to the curb straight away.

NCN...how do we achieve the end goal of preventing misuse of a weapon? it is a sad statement to think that law enforcement is required at a public school. the psyche of the violent perpetrator unchecked will find their target and use whatever means necessary.

Why is the NRA afraid of the truth? The truth is there is no evidence that armed guards or police officers in schools make children safer. Columbine High School had an armed guard, and Virginia Tech had a full campus police force.

The NRA recommended that the Department of Homeland Security be designated as the lead agency, coordinating with the Departments of Education and Justice on  federal programs and funding for school safety efforts.

they didn't offer sh!t except for "their coming to get your guns"...

Placing armed guards on every school campus across the country could cost more than $5 billion.

The Secret Service is charged by Title 18 Section 3056 with presidential protection, which includes keeping people who haven’t been screened beyond a security perimeter that’s established by the Secret Service.

the funding is B.S. because the NRA offered to foot the bill...

don't think so...they offered to pay for the study to devise a plan...next

If adopted, this NRA proposal would vastly expand the federal government’s involvement in both education and law enforcement, in violation of the Constitution, and make state and local governments even more subservient to Washington, D.C., politicians for funding. Our Constitution nowhere authorizes Congress to appropriate funds for police or schools, and for very good reason: Our Founding Fathers recognized an expansion of federal powers to these areas could, and most likely would, facilitate corruption and tyranny.

so which is it less government or more you want...

I ask you, does the Constitution mandate that we have armed guards at Fort Knox, armed guards in the Secret Service guarding our idiot president, or do we just do it because it is the most valued thing to guard? Are not our kids more valuable. The funding is B.S. because the NRA offered to foot the bill... So whats your next best shot at the NRA ?

good morning moderation...i think that the same faith by the opposition in the separation of powers with the constitutional checks and balances should not worry us as to which candidate becomes President. that is why we have a represenatative republic. what is problematic for both major parties is the accountability and punishment process. we easily allow them to subject the public to laws by which many become incarcerated. the blatent disregard for public trust is not a new issue but will not change unless the people change. there are many from both sides of the aisle that have common ground in which to work. perhaps an outsider can unite them into working more closely on mutally beneficial laws and future goals for America. it would be politically epedient for them to perform when there is someone willing to call them out in front of the American people. they work for us....it should not be the other way around.....thoughts?

The voting public sure seems to be less than intelligent .
