Ohwiseone: their employees are on an innovative incentive plan: the more money the company makes the more money they make. The workers have a stake. No like unions where the lest productive worker get paid the same as the most productive worker.

In January 2009, the month Obama took office, the average price of a gallon of reguar gasoline in the US was $1.85, and Diesel $2.38. Prices have risen steadily since, but are still well short of the $4.12 average price seen in May of 2008.

That is dead wrong ohwiseone... Bush at least lowered the price on election day. It was like $3.25 and he lowered it to like $2.85 FOR ELECTION DAY ONLY. Barry did not do that at all. Neither election day..08 or 12. I remember. I was there and paying attention. Not saying Bush as great but at least be honest or make an attempt.

Mod supply and demand still are economic principles

Ohwiseone

And now it seems we will be paying considerable less than the dark years (Dubya) , at least until the Saudis quit flooding the market !

Trick question: Who had higher gas prices, Obama or Bush?~~~~By Mike Rosenberg~~~~~~~Texas Republicans with bumper stickers on their pickup trucks blaming President Obama for soaring gas prices surprisingly have one thing in common with Bay Area drivers who bought a Prius last decade to cope with sky-high fuel prices they pinned on George W. Bush.

They paid the exact same for gas under both presidents.

They cannot reason for themselves on common sense stuff like this stillhere. If it is anything beyond Barry good, Bush bad, then it is WAY over their heads. Seriously !!!

Stillhere

It gives them what they want most MONEY. The lower prices means more travel which means they get their 54 cents PER GALLON

Stillhere

You would think the Socialist left would LOVE low gas prices.

Posted 45 days ago.

Stillhere

BTW Kunnec, they are STILL way higher then when Bush left office.

Ohwiseone

More ignorant speculation !

Stillhere

The Keystone delays are just to appease the Enviromarixists in his party.

Stillhere

Kunnect of course he doesn't have a thing to do with it, in fact he hates it. Fuel prices are dropping IN SPITE of Obama. If he had his way, prices would "necessarily Skyrocket" to force us into his ENVIROMARXISim

Ohwiseone

I never said Obama had anything to do with it !And again the know nothings think they know something ! Sad !

Kunectdots

While we celebrate the recent reduction in gasoline prices, I heard a new explanation for it this morning.

PRESENTLY, it is not so much the increased US domestic production increase that has caused the price drop, but merely the threat of such an increase occurring.

OPEC is currently flooding the world market with drastically reduced oil prices in order to make Fracking and Horizontal Drilling less cost efficient in our country. There WILL BE a limit for how long they can carry on with such a marketing strategy but, while it goes on, it both hurts Vladimir Putin's bank account AND pulls the wind out of ohwiseone's contention that Obama's policies has ANYTHING to do with it.
