Did they say the same when Bush did it ! You know , people to do those jobs that americans don't want !
Now, on top of the judicial problems for Obama’s plan to welcome millions of illegals to America with rights that could see them become a powerful Democrat voting bloc, there’s a big popularity problem for the president and his insistence on pushing forward with amnesty. Results of a new poll just released by Rasmussen Reports pile worse news on top of bad for Obama. More and more likely voters say they oppose Obama’s executive action on amnesty and believe that he has exceeded his authority in trying to impose his will on the American people.
As Western Journalism reported yesterday, Obama’s effort to defer deportation and grant certain citizenship rights to millions of illegal immigrants was dealt a stunning setback. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit kept in place a Texas judge’s block on the executive order, marking the second major legal setback for an administration that was bypassing the Congress and charging ahead on its highly controversial program to make sure as many as 5 million illegals are allowed to stay in the U.S. legally. As might be expected, the administration hasn’t simply said it disagrees with the ruling of the Fifth Circuit; an Obama spokeswoman accused the two judges who kept the temporary stay in place of choosing to “misinterpret the facts and the law.” Obama has long argued that his actions are legal and in keeping with the Constitution — a position that the appeals court ruling sharply challenged.
Beright...i am glad you did. very interesting information.
I did just now. Very interesting.
everyone should take the time and check out the statistics for marietta as found on the city-data website. it offers an interesting insight into the fair city and its citizens.
No doubt but that is hardly wealthy imo
there are Many white collar jobs that pay over $100k year. You won't find them in Marietta.
Once one has the money to control the outcome, they are truly wealthy
Beright, just how would one do that? Starting a business is one way but the regulations taxes and govt mandates are not conducive to wealth, some do it but it's quite extrodinary when they do. With a progressive tax rate, one is punished with each step up the ladder so to speak
Stillhere: If you are making $80,000 or $60,000 a year in the middle class, what prevents you from making $500,000?
There are certainly no laws that prevent you from "making" more money and becoming "one of the rich".
The only sure way to get "stuck" in the middle class and not to move up to rich is to believe that joining a union is your path to greater riches.
Except for union bosses, no one I know whom I consider rich belongs to a union and is no longer a union member.
Stillhere...great point.. along with power, influence and the limited ability to not only see but control the future allows for much personal enrichment.
Notice how those "public servants" in government always seem to leave office filthy rich despite an income that cannot account for that wealth alone
Beright, There is a barrier between middle class and wealthy that is much higher then that the one from poor to middle class. Tax implications punish the collection of wealth with things like estate taxes and marginal tax rates. Seems one gets over the "hump" they can stay wealthy in perpetuity (think Kennedys)
What has kept you in the middle class and prevented you from moving yourself up?
The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities reported that wages for the highest 20 percent of earners rose by nearly 300 percent since 1979, while wages for the bottom and middle 20 percent increased only by 41 percent -- combined. Plotted on a graph, middle and working class wages have flatlined for 30 years. Roll all of these tragic figures into a slow growth recovery and here we are.
most of us in the middle class are screwed...
Boehner’s position that tax cuts add to the deficit apparently only applies to tax cuts for the middle class because it was only last month that Speaker Boehner supported a $440 billion tax cut for corporations. John Boehner is fond of referring to the House as the People’s House, but it clear that the people the Speaker is referring to aren’t working folks or middle class Americans.
Can you give me some specifics about what and when republicans screwed over the middle and poor classes about and how ?

And you righties didn't seem to worried about your " BOHEMOTH DEFICIT "when Bush was in office !
No , I'm referring to the republinuts strategy of total obstruction ! Google "republicans total obstruction" !You see that by obstructing everything put forth , they neglect all the things that need to be done , like highways and infrastructure !
