“After careful consideration of all the generous offers received, we would like to announce that we have accepted a kind offer from Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) for Ahmed to join the prestigious QF Young Innovators Program, which reflects the organization’s on-going dedication to empowering young people and fostering a culture of innovation and creativity,” the family said in a news release Tuesday.
he'd be simple to pass that up...
Less than 24 hours after Ahmed Mohamed met President Obama, his family decided it’s time to leave America for good.
I love that headline!!LOL
Most likely from the targeting camera
And maybe he will show up as a renowned scientist , you just dont know .
Like i said, we will see that kid again from a drone
I'll tell you what , since you all can do nothing but bi Tch about how this current administration does things and since we have no knowledge of the republicants wise plans , how about we just bring everyone home and let the ruskis police the world !
The 14-year-old Texas boy who was arrested for bringing to school a homemade clock that authorities said resembled a bomb will soon be living in Qatar.
He must have been real impressed with Obama.
As the last of the Obama administration wanes, we see a more agressive military presence by Russia and a lesser role at least outwardly by the United States. while calls of letting others do the heavy-lifting for awhile...i say fine with the condition that we remain in control of the process. we have reliquished that control and have taken the lean against the wall approach in regards to the incresing roles being played by ,arguably, aggressive nations by our standards. i am disappointed that we could not completely withdraw from the middle-east as Obama pledged. even he, at his utterance must have been blinded by the glow of the "Jimmy Carter" effect. wadly, i think in the end we will see another reset but not necessarily in our favor as well as a policy of containment rather than molding.
"DAMASCUS, Syria (AP) — Insurgents fired two shells at the Russian embassy in the Syrian capital on Tuesday as hundreds of pro-government supporters gathered outside the compound to thank Moscow for its intervention in Syria. An Associated Press reporter was outside the embassy when the first shell slammed into the compound in central Damascus and smoke billowed from inside. As people started running away, another shell hit the area. No one was harmed in the shelling."
the "sheet" has officially hit the fan.
BeRight...good morning. actually i can now see why the stroy of the CCW on campus did not garner as much publicity as it would have, should the person have been in the classroom. howver, it does raise the question of his admitted breaking of school policy. that is unless he had applied for a special waiver...which has not been revealed as of yet. personally, i think he should be charged. he and the others...which i would hope he would identify..need to conform to school regulations while on campus. the school also needs to address its policies regarding the expected safety of its students and faculty as well as any person on campus.
Narrative: a spoken or written account of connected events.
Libs hate it when the story does not fit their narrative.
And Nas took so much time cutting and pasting.
NBC NEWS: The 36-year-old Air Force veteran became the human face of the concealed carry debate by giving numerous network interviews Thursday in which he said that he had his handgun with him on campus that morning but was not in a position to use it — he was locked down in the school's veterans center several hundred yards away from the science hall where the shooting took place.
NCN..thanks for posting the reference. the portrayel that he had any real opportunity to use his weapon for the good kind of evaporates with the sevral hundred yard separation...not to mention the building itself. i do agree that in certain circumstances a good guy can be mistaken for bad and vice-versa. manyy CCW's may be hesitant to pull aweapon. the rubber nmmeets the road and choice to shoot or not affects everyone different i would imagine. personally...i wish to never have to choose.
My point was, in this topic was that our president, your beloved savior Obama wallowed in the blood of those victims before the sun went down on the day of their deaths to further his own agenda and enhance his own pitiful legacy!!!!
The question of who had a gun to defend a classroom instantly struck one teacher when gunshots rang out on campus Thursday.
"When I got into the room that was locked down, one of the professors asked if anyone was concealed carry," said student John Parker, an Air Force veteran, who had a gun on his hip.
"I raised my hand and said: 'Don't worry, nobody is coming through that door.'"
Parker didn’t know or care that he had to get that permission to have a gun on campus. Yahoo News found at least one other UCC student, Jeremy Smith, who also carries concealed while attending classes. “It’s not a gun free zone,” Smith said. A spokesperson for University of Oregon Campus Safety, Kelly McIver, says that school police can arrest people suspected of carrying on campus and penalize students or faculty with internal disciplinary measures.
Parker told MSNBC that he thought about trying to intervene, but ultimately decided not to, fearing he might interfere with a police response.
Parker’s story quickly took on outsized importance: He was carrying a gun on a campus that many commentators believed was a gun-free zone. While UCC prohibits possession of guns on campus, it makes exceptions for some students with written permission. A local NBC reporter followed up with Parker to see if he knew he’d violated school policy. “I don’t care what the policy is,” Parker said, adding that both the federal and Oregon constitution supplied him with all the justification he needed to carry a gun to school.
Parker’s interview revealed the practical difficulties of armed civilians trying to stop a mass shooting. By the time he became aware of the shooting, a SWAT team had already responded. He was concerned that police would view him as a “bad guy” and target him, so he quickly retreated into the classroom.
