One thing that many don't know or care about is that cheneys' outfit violated a provision of the h w bush adm. by doing business with Iraq after the first gulf war. Traitor.

Mod nascar says 342 bills that were passed in the House and sent to the Senate. How many did Obama have a chance to veto.

The more he has talked about Keystone, the less economic understanding he has demonstrated. On Nov. 14, he said Keystone is merely about “providing the ability of Canada to pump their oil, send it through our land, down to the Gulf, where it will be sold everywhere else. That doesn’t have an impact on U.S. gas prices.” By Dec.?19, someone with remarkable patience had explained to him that there is a world market price for oil, so he said, correctly, that Keystone would have a “nominal” impact on oil prices, but then went on to disparage job creation by Keystone. He said it would create “a couple thousand” jobs (the State Department study says approximately 42,100 “direct, indirect, and induced”) and said, unintelligibly, “those are temporary jobs until the construction actually happens.” Well.Obama does not understand that, outside of government, which is all that he knows or respects, all jobs are “temporary.”

Out of 168 filibusters of presidential appointees, since President Washington, Barry has received nearly 50 % of those issued. Now, tell me there isn't a conspiracy.

the 55 bills that came out of the House by the democrats and sent to the senate represent only about 16 percent of the bills passed by the House. If you look at the bills, the substance of the legislation in these bills is pretty mundane, we're talking about things like names for federal buildings, minor tweaks to legislation, and even the granting of an immigration visa to an individual. Reid is not the only person who gatekeeps the bills sent to the Senate floor.

there were 342 bills that were passed in the House and sent to the Senate, the big thing to remember is that some of these bills are actually in Senate committees, and the committee chair ultimately can decide whether or not to let a bill pass to the next level. The other complicating part of this is that the Senate may have their own version of the same legislation, so the House bill might just be sitting there while the Senate proceeds on their own.

Ohwiseone: you can continue to live in the past but life moves on. Leaders need to deal with the present. It does not solve a problem of today when your only solution to a problem of today is to blame someone in the past. Newly hired CEO’s of troubled companies get paid to identify problems and fix them. The board of directors and the stock holder don’t issue CEO pay based making sure they blame someone. Oblabla has become the finger pointer in chief not a leader. The problem exists, solve it. I will give the left credit that they sometimes recognize problems. But spending six years blaming someone, whether true or not, and not fixing the problem is shameful. Harry Reid bottled up the Senate, brought no bills to the floor for vote and had no new ideas himself. He has shown no leadership. He spent the last six years making sure Oblabla did not have to make any decisions.
