good morning Beright.
Obama buddy Jeff Immelt’s GE Power & Water is moving its gas engine manufacturing operations from Waukesha, Wisconsin to a new facility in Canada. GE notified its 350 Waukesha employees, who build gas engines for compression, mechanical drive and power generation applications Monday of the company’s plans. In Wisconsin alone, suppliers will lose $47 million in revenue from the plant.
I wonder if Obama will take to his bully pulpit and take his buddy Jeff to the woodshed.
about an hour it is on to a more raucous type of music to get the day or evening going depending on when i wake. as mentioned on another topic. i thouroughly enjoy the classic funk music. it is just so hard not to stop and just dance. you gotta move...even a sloth would exhibit a bit of boogie in its movement.
talk about friends.....i don't see the world stumbling over themselves trying to be Obama's friend. our own allies have turned a blind eye to us. while Obama got his wish to withdraw from the world stage, he conveniently left the desired vacuum to be filled with the very folks that seek our demise and their control. what is blatantly obvious is that those that he seeks to fill that vacuum all seem to enjoy staking claim to those they eventually conquer. there is always going to be turmoil in th world....the question is who will control the lid to the pressure cooker. perhaps it was required for him to exhibit the weak leadership and poor negotiating skills that have gotten us to the point that someone has to step in and "show him how it is done". partial line taken from C. Daniels "The Devil went down to Georgia". great song btw. excellent fiddling. my wife takes great glee in pointing out that i wake and spend my early time listening to the masterpieces. within ab
a complimentary Nobel peace Prize would not be desired which is what Obama got. geeeesh...pride trumps humility.
OWO..."such is a love that is tainted with regret." Obama's Nobel Peace Prize.
OWO.....whats the matter with you. you dissing my writing style at the end of the snippet of the article. poorly written indeed. sheesh...
they were chanting this looooooong before a handshake...
never said they weren't.
OWO...btw you are wrong....afp dot (you know) will take you to their site. it is not americans for prosperity. my homepge is yahoo...so i see all of the headlines and this one stood out. i saw nothing wrong with the President shaking smones hand. i problem i expressed was..."we made a deal with these ingrates?"
OWO...Accuteil...a french news site is the originator. yahoo was my original jump point to the article. you can google it as easy as i could.
triggered chants of "Death to America
they were chanting this looooooong before a handshake...
"Tehran (AFP) - The Iranian foreign minister's reported handshake with US President Barack Obama triggered chants of "Death to America" in Tehran's parliament Wednesday and a warning against "another kind of spying".
The foreign ministry has confirmed a "completely accidental" encounter between Obama and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York on Monday, without denying there was a handshake as reported by Iran's semi-official ISNA news agency"
these are the people that many of you are so happy that we gave away the farm too????? for what? Kerry get his first "fake" and Obama to get his 2nd "fake" Peace Prize while we get stuck dealing with this s**T. The President offered a handshake for goodness sake. they should be thanking US! just go ahead and send James Taylor...the swan song has begun.
Moderation..good afternoon. the post with the number was found on the NPR website and yes it said oil and gas lines. upon review of the pertroleum institute i found the following:
In 2013, pipeline operators reported 192,396 miles of liquids pipeline in operation in the United States, with 60,911 miles devoted to crude oil, 63,532 miles transporting refined petroleum products (gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, etc), and 62,742 miles delivering natural gas liquids (propane, ethane, butane, etc).
even with 60+ thousnd miles of current crude piping...1179 miles does seem small in comparison. in addition i am not certain if the pipeline operators are only referring to large capacity lines and did not include the many processed oil lines that serve our communities.
We have plenty of domestic petroleum resources, why stroke a resource beyond our borders. Don't forget those 798 hands are Union, tired. Don't you consider them to be deficient in their ability to reason for themselves.Pipeline construction is serious business.
the thing that i noted was the rather large number of 2.6million miles already in the ground ready to spoil our underground resoures at any moment. that is astounding when compared to the 1200 miles to complete he consumation of the project". Good morning absolem- I do believe you have lumped the natural gas and petroleum pipeline totals together.
again, we benefit from the temp jobs that build bridges, roads, infrastructure...what's the benefit of the pipeline for US??...
All infrastructure jobs are temporary so we can't waste our time until we find permanent jobs.
Like the folks who paint the Golden Gate Bridge. When they get to the end of the bridge they go to the other and start over. Permanent job. But we would not have to spend money on painters if we would have never built it.
But heck, once you build a bridge you get laid off. So why build it if the jobs are temporary?
Darn Armory, all those darn temporary jobs. Harley should be ashamed on spending money on something that will not create any jobs.
OWO....i can agree with you that the nations infrastructure needs some work...a great deal of work actually. i think an appropriate review of repairing, retiring or new construction when it comes to the long-term planning, maintaining and anticipating growth as well as regional human migration models. we pay a great deal of money into local, state and federal transportation and highway funds. if the amount is not enough then several things must be done. all of them not even close to being painless. what is your main objection to the completion of the pipeline?
