Moderation..i am doing well..thank you.
harrys got it right especially with this
"go hard after those who hire them."
Trump and the wall are way out there but the concept is sound:
Make it as impossible as you can to get in illegally so you are forced to come in legally.
If you are here ILLEGALLY, you get nothing. You can't even get free stuff from the RED CROSS.
Why do the libs have such a problem with Legal VS Illegal?
I know that one of the libs had a problem with just one word, is. "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is".
Putting two words together to compare is a little tougher. So may be this legal vs illegal thing is tougher to get than I think.
Good afternoon, absolem. I'm doing great,....I hope you are as well.
Good morning Moderation! How are you my friend? Your point is as valid as most I could think of.
Harry....pleasure chatting with you. I will carefully read your comments and respond. Enjoy your day.
One could conclude that the inclination for naturalized Hispanics to vote democratic has its genesis in the formers' experience with their governments' influence in/on their lives.
Nice talking to you. Now I gotta get my nose back on the grindstone. I'm eager to hear your comments, and I'll sure read and consider them, but I may not have time to reply until tonight or tomorrow.
I knew this one guy. He lived across the creek from me. He supported himself. Then, when he was about 30, his father got SS disability because of a "bad back." My neighbor thought this was great, and he applied. Was denied. He applied again. He kept trying to convince people he had a bad back.
You can imagine what happened after years of this. He could no longer work. I'm convinced he persuaded himself that he was incapable of working.
So I say nobody gets anything unless they contribute.
Don't get me wrong, Absolem. I believe everybody should work for what they get. Nobody should expect government to do everything for them.
If it were up to me, I'd provide meaningful work for all, and all would have to be graded on their job performances, even if I had to raise taxes to do it.
That includes the disabled. I've not yet met anybody whom I considered worthless. I've met quite a few who, to get some benefit or other, convinced themselves they were worthless.
My hunch is this: most don't come for the social programs; they come for the jobs. Then, when they lose their jobs after being here a while, they don't want to go back, and they become a social burden.
Building a wall at the border is a stupid idea. Between 2007 and 2009, as the economy collapsed, the number of illegals dropped by nearly a million, then started rising again as the economy recovered.

This suggests that illegals wouldn't come if they couldn't work. So secure the border by all means, but more importantly, go hard after those who hire them.
Harry....if we allowed the capitalist system to work, the migrants would not have had jobs to seek. Our fail-safe social programs allow many to avoid having to seek the employment the mexies are taking.
I am shocked that OWO is not calling them all scabs. Oh..wait that's only if they took union jobs.
Nobody is "villainizing and demonizing these poor folks." If you'd spend time in LA and pay attention to the news, you'd find ample evidence that people with Spanish-sounding last names commit a disproportionate share of violent crimes.
Here's how I see it:
The powers-that-be looked the other way while 11 million illegals crossed into the US. The illegals came because business owners would hire them for less than American workers wanted. The powers-that-be let it happen because they were also hired by business owners--through campaign "donations."
Now, some who got rich off cheap illegal labor are hunkering down in their patrolled and gated communities while the rest of us are terrorized by outfits like the Mexican Mafia.
In some parts of the country, you must speak Spanish or you can't run a successful restaurant.
At what cost for that vote OWO? Harry....being sympathetic to the illegal Maa migration will curry favor with the existing voters of all races except the blacks. Many have rightfully looked at the Hispanic invasion as an attack against the minority status of blacks and the benefits many claim exclusively for themselves.
I don't think demographics changes seriously threaten the GOP for two reasons:
1. The GOP will adjust when they need to adjust. They just don't need to do anything now. They can win the way things are.
2. Things won't change for a long time because the Democrats seem intent on alienating white voters, who will be a majority for a long time to come.If current trends hold, whites will be a majority of voters even after they become a minority of Americans.
Illegal immigrants can't vote, which makes it difficult to see how they could benefit today's Democrats.
Do they make large campaign contributions?
You might say that they'll become citizens at some point, but that seems impossible in today's political climate. Maybe years from now.
Or you might say that their American-born children will vote in 18 years.
Either scenario is a long way off, so the GOP has plenty of time to woo these voters. The current candidates doubtless know this, and know they can win without them; therefore, they have little incentive to change.
OWO..as of 2012 of registered Hispanic voters,51% are Democrat 31% independent and 18% republican. Of the 11 million registered to vote, only 60% voted. I imagine stillhere is saying that the greater the number of illegal Hispanics would tend to greatly benefit the democrats.
