"Drivers licenses and Benefits for all regardless"

I question the regardless part of that statement. Because unless we have border patrol people signing people up, shaking the people's hands and welcoming them...there are limits.

"My only answer is, the person that can order it (Obama), doesn't want to. Again, how do you explain it?"

Just something about being President I guess. Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush and now Obama...all failures when it comes to the immigration issue. Every one of them could have secured the border but chose not to.

The administration and Dems believe in the "legalization of illegals", IE Amnesty. Drivers licenses and Benefits for all regardless, funded by working taxpayers. I would say that changes the fabric.

We are a nation of immigrants. My family came from Europe. One big thing difference it that we had to make a stop at Ellis Island.

Kunec- when you speak of the fabric of America being changed forever, what is the fabric that is being changed?

Now that kind of project will require funding a bit greater than pocket change, kunec. How would that expense be offset?

Kendall - When you suggest that "the US can't deal with issues happening on our own continent", I find it irresistible to ask you why. Why can't the only remaining superpower on this planet (supposedly) live up to it's convictions, under it's own laws, and build as nearly impenetrable fence as possible on our southern border? My only answer is, the person that can order it (Obama), doesn't want to. Again, how do you explain it?

Oh..there is a lot of corruption going on between the Panama Canal and our border.

Besides tightening up our own borders, it would serve us better to not focus on flexing our world power muscles and go back to flexing our regional muscle.

If the US can't deal with issues happening on our own continent, why should anyone think we can deal with issues on the other side of the world?

There is a little more in play here than meets the eye. Supposedly these “children and mothers” are walking across the border into the USA. And they are “fleeing” what is going on in Central America. So you want me to believe that they are all “walking” from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras to Arizona?? 2000miles? And Mexico with some of the strictest immigration laws is allowing 100,00o to just walk through? I can hear it now, “let us go we are just passing through to the secure USA border”.

The immigration crisis goes beyond the President or Congress. It helps if we look at the real reason all these Central American people are coming here and it isn't really about Obama's policies as much as it has to do with what's going on in Central America.

For all the talk and jabber from our politicians, nothing has really changed in the last few years, so why this sudden increase and what can we do as the regional power do about it? If anything that is.

An "Immigration crisis" would involve not having enough of the formal documents, to be filled out by legal immigrants, or the Immigration officials to process them. What we are experiencing is an illegal INVASION and DUMPING of humanity across our borders. Consequently, there's no "Immigration crises", just an administration crises caused by a president that will not "faithfully execute" the laws. His plan is to irreversibly alter the fabric of American life as we've known it.

We have an immigration "crisis" (Obama words, not mine) but he chastises the Republicans for not passing an immigration bill that has its basis in amnesty for all those that have crossed our borders illegally. Emphasis on the word “illegally”. He ignores certain items that he does not like in laws he has championed, but calls the Republican Lawsuit suing him for not doing his job (you know, that pesky part about upholding the laws) a stunt. In one of the more out-of-touch, reality-denying interviews he's given, President Obama told Fox News host Bill O'Reilly that there was "not even a smidgeon of corruption" involved in the IRS's targeted harassment of the Tea Party and other conservatives. Soon after, the IRS says, whoops, it has lost all of the Werner emails during the exact time period in question. And Werner is still taking the 5th.
