Obamacare is not "FREE" health care

People have finally realized that the word “free” is nowhere to be found in Obamacare’s “ Affordable Health Care Act”. Coverage under President Barack Obama's health care law won't be cheap. A study released Thursday by the nonprofit Kaiser Family Foundation found that government tax credits would lower the sticker price on a benchmark "silver" policy to a little over $190 a month for single people making about $29,000, regardless of their age. For uninsured people who are paying nothing today, this is still a big cost that they're expected to fit into their budgets.

AND YES I will take my money back if I ever get the chance, it was forcibly taken from me and taking it back doesn't mean I support the idea. Its like getting your own stolen property back from the police doesn't mean you support theft,

all the while the socialist left well bleat like sheep about the GREED of the insurance companies, NOT the unfunded mandates the Govt has imposed on private business. AHHHHH socialism, such a great idea they have to force us to participate.

Kunnec the truth is this isn't SUPPOSED to work, its a well known fact that this system was designed to crash and bring on what they have always wanted, single payer Govt controlled healthcare, ask the VETS how well that works.

BERIGHT should it surprise anyone that those that cannot afford the premiums cannot afford the huge deductible? That's liberal logic and "intention" deficit disorder at its best

Kunectdots

Ever considered the possible ulterior motives of ObamaCare? By this I mean even going beyond the "redistribution of wealth" theory for it's creation.

How about if it's already known, by some upper levels of power and influence, that we stand on the cusp of major disease elimination and revolutionary means of life extension? Muffy, Biff and the twins might have to share the world's beaches and a diminishing world food supply with more and more Joe ******** and his brats.

The well-heeled snobs can't have that and one way to prevent it is by having the government (which always answers to Muffy and Biff) takeover the healthcare system.

Ironically, Muffy and Biff had their bought-and-paid-for representative in the WH and the gang of crooks with which he surrounds himself, convince Joe ******* to demand, by voting, that such a system be brought to fruition.

Be careful what you wish for! They may kill you with it.

A recent study from the Commonwealth Fund found that more people with health insurance still can’t afford to seek treatment—mainly because they’re enrolled in higher deductible policies.

According to the study, about 23 percent of Americans with coverage are considered underinsured—up from 12 percent in 2003. That means roughly 31 million Americans who bought health insurance still have trouble affording treatment under their policies.

Health insurance premiums for plans sold on Obamacare’s health exchanges are about to get higher next year, according to a glimpse of rate proposals—some with double-digit increases—that the White House made public this week. Under the Affordable Care Act, insurers are required to make public any rate proposals that increase by at least 10 percent on the federal government’s website. Though premium rates vary significantly depending on the region, major carriers including UnitedHealthcare, Athena and Blue Cross Blue Shield have proposed rate increases for next year between 10 and 30 percent in a handful of states.

Some are even higher. For example, Blue Cross Blue Shield in Alabama proposes to raise its platinum plan (the highest tiered plan) by 71 percent next year. Obamacare has already taken heat for not yet making coverage more affordable.

They are souring under their own lack of merit and forethought. Perhaps if your side would listen in the first place instead of posturing, promising and then under delivering, your programs would stand a chance of working...so far it hasn't without casualties of those you claim to champion.

Ohwiseone

But why are they "souring" ? Could it be the constant sabotage from the party of obstruction ? Maybe if your side would help and not hinder we would have something to be proud of !
