Members of Congress should not undermine the U.S. government

United States Congressmen should not threaten the existence of the United States government simply because those Congressmen do not like a program. It is the height of fiscal irresponsibility for a Congress to threaten to not pay debts that it has incurred because it does not like a program that it has created. Voters should pay closer attention to the behavior of their elected officials and ask themselves whether those officials really represent them, of if those officials are instead paid-for hires of immoral billionaires who spend their time shoving cocaine up their nostrils.

Greek you are one funny person.

1100 square miles is a part of an ocean. It is not the whole Ocean for christs sake lol.

Also and this is hard to believe but this nation actually has national parks that are out in the OCEAN. With all the other parks closing it makes perfect sense for those to close also.

Closing access to the ocean...lol(slaps knee)

You guys are reeealllly grasping at straws aren't you?

Hardly an ocean! I am surprised as heck that the right isn't wailing about space rocks about to fall on our heads! Because no one is looking for them.

So am I to assume the Atlantic Ocean is closed from our east coast clear on over to the Europe And Africa?

LOL! Only someone from the right would make such a dramatic claim.

Close down an Ocean? LOL! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

I am sorry but that is just plain hilarious. And of course when I do some digging its a rightwing rag that is responsible for floating that humdinger.

The right just loves to whip things into such a froth its not even funny anymore.

Close down an ocean! Aaaah priceless.

The parking lot at Mount Rushmore is closed. This is the parking lot you park to see the mountain. Lets see: Parking lot, boat ramp, ocean, Grand Canyon and the WW2 monument all closed. Welcome to Obamaland where you say you have no money but you spend money to close things that have no expense associated with them to keep open just to make a point. The pres is a Spoiled snot.

The Gov't shut down continues. We have out of control debt and the ACA roll out still has some glitches. The President refuses to talk about either. The Republicans are simply doing what their constituency wants them to do. When people talk about extremist Republicans you are also talking about the people who voted them in. The Democrats are lead by a west coast liberal and a by an old guy that still refers to Black people by what shade of black they are and if they talk “black”. And you want me to respect that? Sorry, no can do.

Eleven days ago, on this blog, TheFrog wrote, "What makes Obamacare so bad anyway..."

Simple logic dictates that the "open and transparent" Obama administration was up to more than health care when they cane into office (gangbuster's style) immensely concerned about an issue that didn't affect 85% of the American public, at that time. Now, it affects EVERYBODY.

There has to be more cloaked goals behind ObamaCare than just to s-uck up votes For Democrats from the simple minded.

The first two that come to mind are; (A) A massive transfer of ownership of private property when this doomed-to-failure program collapse and (B) cooperative submission to loss of gun ownership by citizens not wanting to be kick off the government health care rolls, before they realize it's collapsing.

ceiling as needed." the current budget battle has a direct effect on the national debt and the pending debt ceiling limit. i have taken a gander at the debt clock and it reveals some truely staggering statistics. i would highy recomend each american that has reasonable cognitive ability to view it for themselves. good or bad, it is not political in nature as it is simply numerical truths regarding the financial and social health of our nation. if i were a politician, i would be ashamed. regarding the 14th amendment....as of this moment the President has rejected that action. although Pelosi and some democrats said he should have not taken it off of the table. then again, just because he siad he wouldn't does not mean he won't. time will tell. oops almost time for Survivor!

moderation...i understand that. however the budget and national debt go hand in hand. for example: "The federal government raises trillions of dollars in tax revenue each year, though there are many different kinds of taxes. Some taxes fund specific government programs, while other taxes fund the government in general. When all taxes for a given year are insufficient to cover all of the government’s expenses—which is often the case— the U.S. Treasury borrows money to make up the difference." "The debt ceiling is the legal limit set by Congress on the total amount that the U.S. Treasury can borrow. If the level of debt hits the debt-ceiling limit, the government cannot borrow additional funds without Congress raising the debt ceiling. In this situation, if Congress did not raise the debt ceiling and the Treasury was unable to borrow, it would trigger a shutdown of the federal government and a default on existing loans. Congress has the legal authority to raise the debt c
