When have we culturally "arrived"?

In any movement, there is always a moment when one should be able to say that we as a culture have arrived at the end and equality is achieved. This goes for everything from women's rights, minority rights and also rights of the LGBT community. When does such a movement for equality say mission accomplished?

buckeye45750brutus said- Bob-" I can prove you 100% wrong as we will not let SCUM into OUR neighborhood.....one family was ran out not too long ago and its been made clear that those people will NOT be eligible to buy or rent in this area......and for you people to deny it is just foolish......things happen that no one knows how....I have seen it happen"

They are your factless contentions!

The facts are that you have pointed to only one 'accomplishment', and it's an unsubstantiated one, that would indicate that you are a walker, as well as a talker, brutus.

tired- wouldn't that depend upon the meaning of "crowded"

Sure.i was quantifying the success brutus touts as an outstanding example of his efforts to purge 'lesser thans' from his shrinking world .

Narcolepsy? It's OK... We all have our deficiencies. A second to second dialogue can end at any given moment.

I know you're out there, I can hear you breathing.

Oh, I forgot that you said that your personal friends, members of the Parkersburg Police Department were sent to investigate... And assessed the situation as a joke, not worthy of further inquiry, right?

BobDahler

My gosh, I would call the police and insist they find the responsible party(s) and bring them to justice before it happened to me! Huh?

Someone was cutting your neighbor's tires, every day? Who do you suppose was doing that? Under the circumstances, I would be very concerned... Weren't you?

BobDahler

From what I've "been told", no one has mentioned the circulation of any KKK flyers... They must not have the broad based appeal that you think they do.

Everyone must buy new tires now and again... Why would your (ex) neighbors choose to move, just because they had to buy new tires?

<fliers in Pburg>: No I haven't. What are you talking about?

Posted 582 days ago.

BobDahler

You snap back faster than I, so for the sake of context: My last reply was related to your purported ability to control your next door neighbor, 100%...

That is a very limited scope of reality.

BobDahler

I know there exceptions to the rule... But like it or not, the attitude you profess is a remnant of the past.

buckeye45750brutus: In Parkersburg, I don't think you will find enough support to prevent the kind of social changes Kendall78 refers to. The acts of violence you advocate are not acceptable to the vast majority of people, (even in Pkb. WVa) and simply will not be tolerated.

I wish you continued success in bringing those here in this forum together in common cause.

The growth is steady and will rise. It's only logical.

Change comes to all places and at all times. It would be ignorant to think that change does not come.

The population growth of African Americans is up 10% and Asian Americans is up 31%.

As stated before, diversity is a way of thinking.
