Is the GOP "out of touch" with women?

A recent CNN poll has 55% of Americans saying that the GOP doesn't understand women. Is it true that the GOP, and by extension Right-leaning Conservatives, really out of touch or is it just a perceived truth without merit? Is the GOP allowing the Liberals/Dems/Left to define to the public what they stand for?

fred...if you will dishonor the vow made to your wife and your children, how well will you honor the oath that you made to the american people? That's what i love about Democrats they surely have low expectations for their own.

I have some friends that are statees and they do not care for the fact that the women take one obstacle course and them another and are signed off on some physical duties. It occurrs in a lot of industries. But you were a teacher and peobably dont understand physical labor activities in an industrial setting. No insult intended, just telling it how it is.

The presidents life is EVERY citizens business. That was proven when Romney ran. You are a famous elected official, thats the way it is !! We elect them because we trust them with our country, economy ourselves and our kids and parents. When they are deceiving us, it is very bad !!

Slick Willie "D" Clinton was a General in the Democratz war on women. Anthony Weiner? A Captain of his little dinghy. Elliot Spitzer? Staff Sergeant. Keep them pregnant by illegitimate sperm donors, and cranking out more welfare dependent Democrat voters is the Democrat war on women. Lower the education standards so they don't even realize how ignorant they are. Poverty is the Democrat slave quarters, and they D know how to keep them there. A Conservative Libertarian R tide will lift all boats, men and women, beginning when the new Senate is sworn in next January.

Equal rights for women means to me, running the same obstacle course as men for the Highway patrol academy and boot camp. Not a shortcut version so they can drive the patrol car.

I have to admit that my perspective is not without contradiction. That's just how it is.

On one hand if a woman chose to keep a child without the expectation of support I could completely support that. But on the other hand, a guy that wont support his kid is dog crap to me.

ASK I struggle with that but the only position I can take is that a child is alive from day one. Its a religious thing to me and I admit I struggle with it from time to time, but I KNOW my default position leave NO DOUBT

I paid child support for years but it went where it should have. I have long said that child support should be accountable to the payer, in a monthly statement much like the SNAP or WELFARE credit card.

" I am just saying this is ONE area that the law is very biased."

Very much so and that is mostly thanks to our patriarchal dominated culture trying to shift into something more equal.

Eventually I think we will get to the point where a woman will have sole say what happens to her body and the results of her choices...like having a child.

And at the same time, the father will be able to choose to assit in raising his progeny or not if he desires.

It wouldn't surprise me if sometime in the future that when one gets married that there isn't a sort of children pre-nup in that before a couple gets married they decide what will happen if the wife gets pregnant.
