Are the Second Amendment "rights" of Americans really being "threatened" - or is this complaint just another gimmick to get the right-wing, reactionary base "fired up" for 2012?

Well Bob, if you're not going to do it, I guess I'll have to ... Some of today's "pretend patriots" might want to look at what is happening in Egypt ... A real "revolution" isn't pretty ... Some Americans, however, are claiming that President Obama and his administration are "tyrants", and (in the words of failed Nevada Senatorial candidate Sharron Angle) "Second Amendment Solutions" might be needed ... Is she right? Or is she just "right-wing"? Inquiring minds want to know!

Here is the truth . . .

If you are as hostile, volatile, aggressive, and "fired up" in person as you are here . . . There is NO VALID REASON for you own any weapon.

FACT: unfortunately, some do slip through the cracks in GUN background checks.

No, it was reported in the Boston Globe's story on it that it's a procedural thing in Congress. Added to that, Reid "pulled" the bills for later consideration.

Don't trust them, we're not dealing with honest people!

Reid may have disagreed with the bill and voted no because he saw a way to keep the democrauts off his back!! He has been pals with some NRA people and recieved some pac money from them!! Pics of him on the shooting range and all. Maybe he is coming around and getting his head clear on the subject of the 2nd ammendment issue !!

BeRight, I knew there had to be a reason why Reid voted against the bill. He did so because voting no would allow him to call for a re-vote on the bill in the future.

How did he vote on Feinstein's AWB amendment? He said he'd vote for it.

Mandatory background checks are a feel good thing and would not have prevented Newtown. According to the president, that what yesterday’s vote was about, preventing another Newtown. Yesterday’s vote was about gun control. When you have increased mandatory background checks, you have bigger lists of Americans on Gov’t lists. We can’t document illegals but we want to document gun owners. I have a better idea, let’s make a list of people most likely to use guns to kill other people. Only Newtown families who agreed with Obama got a free ride on AF1. Those who did not got to stay home.
