Are the Second Amendment "rights" of Americans really being "threatened" - or is this complaint just another gimmick to get the right-wing, reactionary base "fired up" for 2012?

Well Bob, if you're not going to do it, I guess I'll have to ... Some of today's "pretend patriots" might want to look at what is happening in Egypt ... A real "revolution" isn't pretty ... Some Americans, however, are claiming that President Obama and his administration are "tyrants", and (in the words of failed Nevada Senatorial candidate Sharron Angle) "Second Amendment Solutions" might be needed ... Is she right? Or is she just "right-wing"? Inquiring minds want to know!

Not quite correct, greek. You can own full auto firearms, but they're closely regulated, and monitored. And really expensive!

Ronnie Rayguns did almost the same type of gun control and no republican said a word !

Do Gun Control Laws Control Guns?

On gun control, President Barack Obama was quoted as saying: “This is our first task as a society, keeping our children safe. This is how we will be judged. We can’t put this off any longer.” Or how about “If it saves one child, then it is worth it.” At the same time he supports on demand abortion, anytime anywhere. After 50 million abortions after Roe....Protect the children? What a crock.

Munster: mod quoted the Fox news interview. I simply was responding to it. Unlike libs, Scalia's opinions are the same whether he on Fox or MSNBC.

Military level guns are buzz words for full automatic. The gun used at Sandyhook was not full automatic. You want to ban assault weapons, o.k. with me. If you want to ban assault "STYLE", that is a problem. In this case if it looks like a duck it needs to walk like a duck also. Full and Semi automatic are two different animals. If it looks like and assault weapon and is only semi, like the AR15, I would be against banning it.

I am OK on Semi-automatic ownership. I do not see a reason to own full automatic.

And i'll restate , this is the same kinda thing that ole ronnie boy did and since he's you guys hero I'd expect a whole lot less caterwauling from the gun nut side ! !

Greek ole boy , check out what your pal bewrite quoted under my last post !!Maybe if you and others of your ilk would quit citing "fox news" and the other propaganda factories we would quit tossing it back in your face !

No, beright. I have occasional confusion about many things, but not that. I am hoping you heard/ saw the whole content, and not just a "fox" snippet.

don't be so obstinate, beright. Handguns are ok with Scalia, .....military level arms are not. I offered the fox piece as a starting point.( you know, soften you up with something you find familiar and acceptable (-:} ) There are other examples of his thoughts out there, that contain well chosen wordings by the man. he leans against military style arms, and will vote that position if it comes before him.

Theres the first problem " Fox news" ! Now thats an oxymoron !

I saw th einterview. Scalia told Fox News that the Second Amendment “undoubtedly” permits some restrictions on firearms. I specifically noted he did not use the word "banned" in his comments,

Mod, where you confused yesterday when Obama used the word “we” numerous times during his address?
