Are the Second Amendment "rights" of Americans really being "threatened" - or is this complaint just another gimmick to get the right-wing, reactionary base "fired up" for 2012?

Well Bob, if you're not going to do it, I guess I'll have to ... Some of today's "pretend patriots" might want to look at what is happening in Egypt ... A real "revolution" isn't pretty ... Some Americans, however, are claiming that President Obama and his administration are "tyrants", and (in the words of failed Nevada Senatorial candidate Sharron Angle) "Second Amendment Solutions" might be needed ... Is she right? Or is she just "right-wing"? Inquiring minds want to know!

munster, from your wiki source...:"Some Western authorities believed this bullet was designed to tumble in flesh to increase wounding potential. At the time, it was believed that yawing and cavitation of projectiles was primarily responsible for tissue damage. Martin Fackler conducted a study with an AK-74 assault rifle using live pigs and ballistic gelatin demonstrating that the 5.45×39mm 5N7 round does not reliably fragment or cause unusual amounts of tissue disruption.[6] Most organs and tissue were too flexible to be severely damaged by the temporary cavity effect caused by yaw and cavitation of a projectile."

You can't seem to decide which pile of BS to peddle on 5.56 mm ammo. First, you said the bullet is "unbalanced", and that causes it to "tumble" when it strikes something. THAT was you're argument when you claimed they could strike a body in the leg and come out of it's nose.

Then you came up with some magic "air bubble" idea, that made it react as a hollow point bullet. Were that the case, the round would foLlow the same trajectory it had been on, with the tip collapsing and the round forming a "mushroom" shape. Even ammo designed to do that, "hollow point" bullets, don't always do as they're designed to. They often retain their original shape, and simply pass through a body, like "full metal jacket" bullets do.

Nobody else has seen any evidence what you're claiming is true. If you saw it on a documentary, there would be written verification on line. OK, you're not an idiot, you're a liar!

So if you have been a worthless employee longer than that other worthless employee, you get to advance??? Welcome to the Union shop.

And you proved my point thank you. You started at the bottom and worked your way up through seniority, not hard work, not dedication, nor being the best. NOPE JUST STOOD AROUND AND WAITED. No wonder Unions are a dying thing.

Does that much stupid hurt? I have always wondered.

Hey MUNSTER, Learn to read moron. I said you worked in a system, not WORKED THE SYSTEM. You once again show your brilliance.

Tiredofit

Yea Munster you are quite the thinker. Thats why you have to work in a system that does not reward merit, only time spent there. Unions are a perfect fit for folks like you, repeat the socialist dogma and get paid the same as the laziest person in the shop, oh wait thats most likely YOU.

Free, if you'll do even minimal research, the military has had issues with current ammo supplied in Iraq & Afghanistan. They've had to alter the weight of the rounds, as what was in the supply system simply wounded the enemy, rather than dispatching them to their promised virgins in paradise.

Yet you insist a 5.56 mm round is some kind of "explosive" round, that tears the victim's limbs off.

You keep insisting you're so smart? You certainly are NOT showing it! What, now you think channeling Freddie is going to make you sound logical?

You're still an idiot!

munster, you would be technically correct in that air would indeed occupy any cavity, unless of course a vacuum was induced at time of casting. then the amount of molecular air would be greatly reduced. this little back and forth indicates how much correct terminology affects an overall discussion.

munster, i do not fact check everything that you post. however, your claim about air in a bullet peaked my interest. i did not wish to imply you were mistaken. i just wanted to say that i could not find anything to substantiate your claim.

Is it possible that in the childish mind like Munster’s . . . Hollow Point Bullets are “air bubbles in bullets”?

LOL

munster, i googled your "air" bullet and found nothing. i am aware of the shockwave bubble as a bullet enters at high velocity. this is commonly known as hydrostatic shock. either way, unless you throw a bullet at someone, chances are they are going to be injured or killed. but then again a high velocity baseball will yield similar results without penetration. I saw your biased "link", just because some liberal posted a bunch of crap on the internet, that doesn't make it fact.
