Marietta High School, Waterford High School students honored by Kiwanis Club of Marietta

Marietta High School senior Lillian Westbrock received the Lester E. Noe Scholarship from the Kiwanis Club of Marietta.

She received the award based on her grade point and successful service contribution to the Key Club and to the high school. Westbrock received $1,000.

During her three-year membership in the club and president this past year, she increased club membership, connected members to over 50 hours of community service, led the club in raising over $1,000 for the GMFP and organized monthly service projects. Westbrock plans to attend West Virginia University in the fall, majoring in Exercise Physiology Pre-Med track. She is the daughter of Paul and Amy Westbrock.

Marietta High School senior Kenzley Urban received a $500 Key Club scholarship. As a member of the Key Club for four years and vice president this past year, Urban was instrumental in developing and implementing multiple successful service projects, helped increase club membership and volunteered at several Key Club events. She plans to attend West Virginia University in the fall, majoring in Sports Management & Finance. She is the daughter of John and Letty Urban.

The Lester E. Noe Scholarship, created by Virginia M. Noe, was established in memory of her husband, Past Kiwanis President, for his special, long-term interest and contribution to Kiwanis over a period of 37 years.

Waterford High School senior Lakyn Brooker received a $1000 Key Club scholarship from the Kiwanis Club of Marietta. She received the award based on her grade point and successful service contribution to the Key Club and to the high school.

During her four-year membership in the club, she has volunteered in numerous Key Club events. She is also involved in several extra-curricular activities. She was the club’s treasurer. Brooker plans to attend Miami University in the fall, majoring in Biochemistry. She is the daughter of Jeffrey and Shoshanna Brooker.

Waterford High School senior Addison Schaad received the $500 Key Club scholarship. As a member of Key Club for three years, Vice President for two years and President this past year, Schaad has volunteered in her school and community. She plans to attend Allegheny College in the fall, majoring in English and journalism. She is the daughter of Adam and Danette Schaad.
