Marietta Police Reports
The Marietta Police Department released the following reports:
January 7:
¯ Marietta Police Department received information about possible internet child exploitation and an investigations began.
¯ An officer responded with Marietta Fire Department in reference to an unresponsive 15-year-old female, who subsequently passed away. The coroner responded and Marietta Police Department assisted with the investigation.
January 9:
¯ An officer took a complaint of a protection order violation. An arrest warrant was requested for the suspect.
January 10:
¯ Officers were dispatched to a disturbance that was occurring at the city building, 301 Putnam Ave.. After speaking with both parties, it was learned that an argument had occurred over a child custody dispute, but no charges were filed due to a lack of independent witnesses.
January 12:
¯ Units responded to 120 Pike Street, Duke and Duchess, in regards to a disturbance with violence. The potential victim did not cooperate and signed a refusal of investigation.
