Camden Clark cuts the ribbon for new outpatient clinic

VIENNA — WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center has opened its new Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic to increase access for patients to receive treatment and support throughout the recovery process from an injury, illness, or surgery.

The multidisciplinary outpatient clinic is the first-of-its kind offered by the hospital in 14 years.

The Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic ribbon cutting ceremony took place Sept. 18 at the clinic at the Mid-Ohio Valley Medical Group next to DaVita Dialysis, located at 800 Grand Central Mall, Vienna.

Camden Clark leadership, providers, and Rehabilitation Services staff gathered to celebrate the grand opening with the formal ribbon cutting ceremony. Representatives from the Mid-Ohio Valley Chamber of Commerce were also in attendance for the celebration.

WVU Medicine Camden Clark’s Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic provides a comprehensive range of outpatient services to address diverse health care needs, featuring state-of-the-art amenities and equipment.

The Outpatient Rehabilitation staff includes four physical therapists, one of whom is board-certified in orthopedics, and another certified in balance and concussion management. The unit also includes an occupational therapist and speech therapist.

The therapists from each discipline include: Andrew Sells, DPT; Matthew Sells, DPT; Barry Rodden, DPT; Cyndee Parrish, SLP; Melissa Stavrakis, DPT, OCS; and Taylor Knapp, MOTR/L.

“We are excited to expand the breadth of outpatient services to include therapy and rehab as we continue to drive high quality and accessible care to the Mid-Ohio Valley,” said WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center President and CEO, Sean Smith. “This clinic is the first-of-its-kind operated by Camden Clark in nearly 15 years, with a team of therapists with a wide range of expertise to treat patients during their recovery from conditions varying from stroke to sports injuries. We look forward to providing patients and their families with the proper training, resources, and therapeutic treatment, allowing them to return to their daily routines quickly and confidently.”
