Offenberger

Carol Jo Offenberger, a beloved resident of Lowell, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the age of 72. Born in Dennison, Ohio, on April 5, 1952, Carol was a cherished daughter of the late John Evert Littleton and Margaret Ann Littleton.

Carol took pride working as a Security Guard at Globe Metallurgical, where she was known for her unwavering commitment and friendly demeanor. Her passion for helping others extended beyond her professional life, as she volunteered as an EMT with the Beverly and Waterford Fire Departments, touching many lives with her kindness and compassion.

A proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3665 in Beverly, OH, Carol was a vibrant presence in her community. She had a zest for life, enjoying NASCAR, do-it-yourself crafts, and the timeless tunes of 50’s & 60’s Rock and Roll, as well as Country music. Above all, she cherished the moments spent playing with her grandchildren and great-grandsons. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love, service, and joy will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

Carol is survived by her two loving children, John Steven “Steve” Offenberger (Sarah) and Loretta Lynn “Lori” Day (Tony). She was a devoted grandmother to Melissa, Jordan, Jonelle, Kirsten, and Brianna, and a proud great-grandmother to Arlo, Emmett, Briggston, and another great-grandson on the way. Carol also leaves behind her siblings, Dianna Simers (Clyde), Gary Littleton (Catherine), and Rick Littleton, along with many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her warmth and generosity.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nelson Paul Offenberger whom she married on January 20, 1968, her parents, her brothers John and James Littleton, and her sister-in-law, Brenda Lee Littleton.
